All the services you would expect from a modern facility are on-hand to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Our staff are highly experienced and ready to help, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that your boat and your crew are in good hands.

Accessible three hours either side of high water in St Peter Port, Beaucette Marina is the perfect base from which to discover Guernsey and the other Channel Islands or to make the short crossing to France.

Bangor Marina

Bangor Marina is situated on the south shore of Belfast Lough, close the Irish Sea cruising routes. The marina has become well known since it opened for providing a safe berth in the centre of Bangor, a highly attractive town with many places to visit.

Bangor Marina is operated by Quay Marinas under a 15 year licence granted by North Down Borough Council. The Marina Manager, Andrew Jaggers, and his friendly team are there to make your stay at Bangor Marina as enjoyable and safe as possible so please speak to a member of staff if you need any help.

The Marina is staffed 24 hours a day so there should always be someone on hand to provide any further information.

Conwy Quays Marina

Penarth Quays

Penarth Marina is situated within the sheltered waters of Cardiff Bay and built around the basins of the historic Penarth Docks. The marina is an ideal location from which to enjoy Cardiff Bay and to explore the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary and its many ports.

Rhu Marina

Rhu Marina and village lie on the east side of the Gareloch on the north side of the Firth of Clyde.

The marina is the closest to Glasgow about 24 miles distant from the city centre. Helensburgh, with all its amenities is 2 miles away. There is a regular bus service to Helensburgh and a train service to Glasgow.

The marina itself provides all the usual facilities, maintained to a high standard and operated 24 hours a day by friendly and efficient staff. There are many locally based firms providing a wide range of marine services for visiting and resident boat owners.

Also based at the marina are HM Coastguard and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s Atlantic 75 Lifeboat.

Royal Quays Marina

Situated close to the entrance of the River Tyne at North Shields, on the north east coast of England. Royal Quays Marina is the ideal port of call for visiting yachts crossing the north sea from Scandinavia and the low countries, circumnavigating Britain or simply wishing to sample the delights of Newcastle and the surrounding region of Northumbria.

There are excellent links to Newcastle Airport;mainline rail services at Newcastle; and we are next door to the DFDS Ferry Terminal.

We provide sheltered and secure berthing and excellent facilities. Our boatyard can lift vessels upto 30 tonnes. Royal Quays is premier boating facility in the North of England.

The Marina is staffed 24 hours a day and offers access via lock gates at all states of the tide.

TransEurope Marinas Hits 50

At the 2012 Tullett Prebon London Boat Show, membership of TransEurope Marinas will hit 50 marinas when membership applications by 4 new marinas are officially ratified.

The new marinas are Upton Marina (UK), Puerto Deportivo Gijón (Spain), Jachthaven Wetterwille (Holland) and the 50th, Beaulieu River, Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour (UK), all of which will add further cruising opportunities for berth holders within the TransEurope Marinas group.

The TransEurope Marina group is the largest network of European marinas offering reciprocal benefits for visiting boat owners from member marinas. The group is operated and administered voluntarily by a Committee, elected by the membership. The principal benefit is a period of discounted berthing in quality marinas where first class facilities and customer service are the norm and not the exception.

Formed in 1983 with just five marinas, Mayflower (Plymouth), Dart (Dartmouth), Swanwick (Southampton), Jersey (Channel Islands) and Moulin Blanc (Brest), the association was originally known as Transmanche Marinas.

In 2006, following interest from other marinas within the EU it was decided to change the name to TransEurope Marinas in 2006 to reflect the geography of the membership.

Expansion has been rapid in recent years and the current Chair, Melanie Symes, from Puerto Calero Marina in Lanzarote, commented: “We are delighted to have increased TransEurope membership to 50 locations. We believe that this reflects the desire of discerning marina operators to encourage cruising, to stimulate more visitors to come to their marinas and most importantly in the current economic climate, to offer their own customers the added value of the benefits of TransEurope membership.”

In addition to berth holder benefits, member marina owners enjoy collaboration through the exchange of best practice ideas, training, networking and the formation of area “clusters” within the group.

A recent study by Dawn Robins of the University of Chichester entitled Clustering and the Economic Impacts of Marinas concludes that …marinas themselves also need to be aware of their potential and make best use of their location, geography and service provision. Enhancing their uniqueness and expanding on niche markets will enable collaboration without competitive threat”

A cruising berth holder at a TransEurope member marina recently wrote: The TransEurope Marina membership card we received is one of the best things we have made use of in a long time. We have visited several marinas in this group. All these marinas appear to have a high standard and we were well impressed with the membership discount given.
