Port Joinville

Port Joinville is located on the French island Ile d’Yeu, off the Atlantic coast and a day’s sail from Nantes. Created in 1846, the port has long been the thriving centre of the island, which now supports a population of about 5000 people. Ile d’Yeu is rich in local flora with numerous orchids appearing in the summer months, and a great location for spotting seabirds such as skua, puffins and razorbills. Long beaches with shallow waters make for perfect family visits.
