From the entrance of the Rio Duero to Douro Marina entrance there is a navigation channel with average depth of 5 m, limited by 4 navigation buoys. Buoys 2 and 4 are red and have cylindrical shape. Buoys 1 and 3 are green and have the form of a cone facing upwards.
Operational base of the Douro Marina Sailing Academy, the marina’s Nautical Centre offers a great range of water sports for all ages and abilities, making the most of the area’s ideal conditions for marine activities.
The Alto Douro Wine Region appears on the World Heritage List as having outstanding cultural value where wine has been produced for over two thousand years. The region offers some truly fascinating scenery and much to enjoy.
