On Sunday 24th April, Beaulieu will be holding its annual Boatjumble – the largest outdoor sale of boating items in Europe.
Now in its 39th year, this event remains a key date in the boating calendar, giving enthusiasts an opportunity to snap up some fantastic nautical bargains before the beginning of the sailing season.
With thousands of new and used boating bargains, the Boatjumble makes for an unmissable event for all boating enthusiasts. With products from big name brands, many at special show offers, alongside forgotten treasures, you’ll find it all at Beaulieu!
Beaulieu’s Events Manager, Judith Maddox, said: “The Ask the Experts feature introduced by the show’s sponsor Practical Boat Owner, last year was a great success and will be repeated again this year. It offers show visitors an opportunity to take part in hands-on demonstrations, learn top tips and get the answers to burning boating questions from a team of leading marine specialists.”
The Boatmall has the latest products from leading manufacturers displaying trailerable yachts, dinghies, motorboats, accessories, clothing and services. If you are looking for a used boat, the Boatmart, offers a unique opportunity to browse around a wide range of used craft for sale, from classics to nearly new and those in need of restoration.
In the Trunk Traders area, amateur jumblers clearing out their lockers, sheds and garages of boating bits, can sell their surplus second-hand sailing items from the boot of their car. Trading is brisk, so get there early.
The Classic Motor Boat Association will be putting on their traditional display of members’ classic boats and antique outboard engines. Members will also be on hand to talk to visitors about the activities of the Association, whose aim is to promote affordable preservation and enjoyment of classic runabouts, racing boats and engines through active rallies around the UK.
Ticket prices are adult £9.70 and child (aged 5-17) £7.50, even less if booked in advance by the 8th April. Admission is not only to the Boatjumble, but also to the whole of the Beaulieu attraction including the National Motor Museum with its new display area Driving Change, plus On Screen Cars, World of Top Gear, Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House. Tickets are available to purchase by telephone on 01590 612888, online at www.beaulieushop.co.uk and on the day.
