Situated close to the entrance of the River Tyne on the north east coast of England, Royal Quays Marina is the ideal port of call for visiting yachts crossing the north sea from Scandinavia and the low countries, a sheltered and secure stop-over for anyone circumnavigating Britain, and a great base for visitors simply wishing to sample the delights of Newcastle and the beautiful surrounding region of historic Northumbria.
With the prestigious Yacht Harbour Association Five Gold Anchor accreditation and numerous TYHA Marina of the Year Awards, Royal Quays is considered the premier boating facility on the north east coast of England. The marina is known for its high standards of service, excellent facilities for visiting boaters, sheltered and secure berthing, and a warm and friendly welcome for both leisure and commercial vessels. The marina has 400 fully serviced pontoon berths and operates 24 hours a day with access to the river and open sea at all states of tide via double-sector lock gates. A boatyard with a 40 tonnes hoist is available for maintenance and storage ashore.
Whether you just need to stay for a few nights on passage, or want to take a berth for longer, boatfolk’s team at Royal Quays Marina will make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to seeing you and can assure you of a warm and friendly welcome.
Royal Quays Marina is part of the boatfolk group, and one of 11 marinas in stunning locations around the UK coastline. As a popular and busy marina, it would be appreciated if visitors could book a berth ahead of arrival if possible (royalquays@boatfolk.co.uk)
