Five Oaks Fishery and Club House has been acquired by John Willment Marine Ltd, which owns and operates Universal Marina, creating a modern and exclusive eco-friendly fishing and leisure facility and corporate hospitality destination.

New developments at Universal MarinaAvia Willment, managing director of John Willment Marine Ltd, said: ‘We’ve had our sights set on the clubhouse and lake next door to the marina for a number of years so we’re delighted that our hopes have become a reality. This latest project has a synergy with our work at the marina, allowing us to create a modern, sustainable environment for our guests.’

The new facilities will be available on a pre-book basis to the public for fly fishing, customers of Universal Marina, and anyone else searching for a unique venue for leisure or corporate purposes.

John Willment Marine has employed various local firms to carry out the works at the new site, including landscapers, construction companies and fish suppliers to help stock the lake.

Opportunities to spend a day or two enjoying the refreshing yet relaxing ambience of the lake and marina will provide the perfect setting for leisure breaks, business meetings and away-days, VIP hospitality and team building. The redeveloped site including self-catering accommodation is expected to re-open in October 2017.
