Making the most of two decades of international experience in the nautical sector…

After 21 years spent at the head of Saint-Quay Port d’Armor, TransEurope Marinas chairman Jean-Michel Gaigné has decided to leave the management of this famous Breton marina at the end of January 2020. Having spent a great deal of effort easing the transition, he is content that everything is prepared for the upcoming season, with the marina team prepared to continue meeting customers’ expectations and to take up new challenges under the supervision of Jean-François Riat, the upcoming Marina Manager.

Jean-Michel set out his plans for the future:

For my part, I will stay actively involved in the marina industry, acting as a consultant for marketing strategy, market studies, copywriting, operations assessments, marine tourism, innovation and product development. Notably, I will continue to chair TransEurope Marinas, to take an active part in ICOMIA Marinas Group work, as well as in the Blue Flag International Jury and TYHA council.

I am now willing to serve the marina and maritime recreational industry as widely as possible, drawing on my knowledge of marina operations and facilities in some 50 countries around the world, and my commitments in the nautical sector.

On behalf of TransEurope, we wish Jean-Michel every success in his new ventures.
