Located in one of the largest bays in the world with its 180km² stretch of water, Moulin Blanc and Château marinas together offer more than 2000 pontoon berths, including 260 for visitors berths, which are accessible at all tides.

A smart network of transportation of buses and trams, lately completed by the urban cable car, make it easy to tour the city as well as its surroundings. Traditional restaurants on the harbour are a good opportunity to taste the Breton gastronomy. From land or sea, it is easy to admire the diversity of landscapes as to set out to discover our rich maritime and architectural heritage.

Marina de Moulin Blanc

The Marina du Moulin Blanc (Port de Plaisance du Moulin Blanc) is one of the largest and most technically capable marinas in Brittany, France. It’s an excellent choice for boaters needing a technical stopover or a tourist stopover with family-friendly activities nearby.

Situated at the mouth of the River Elorn, offering excellent shelter and easy access to the vast Rade de Brest (Brest Bay).

The staff are highly praised as helpful, accommodating, and English-speaking, often going the extra mile to assist visitors. Moulin Blanc is also  known as a hub for marine professionals and technical services, making it ideal for repairs or maintenance.

The marina’s location is perfect for families and tourists, contrasting the Château marina’s closer proximity to the historical city centre.

  • On-Site Attractions: The marina is adjacent to the Moulin Blanc Beach and the renowned Océanopolis, one of Europe’s largest ocean discovery parks. The National Botanical Conservatory is also nearby.

  • Dining: Numerous restaurants with terraces are located along the promenade, offering pleasant waterfront dining and a relaxed atmosphere. A great bakery is also located within a short walk.

  • Transport: While it is a few kilometers from the city centre, the marina has good links to public transport (Bus #3) connecting to the city center and the train station (SNCF). The airport is also a short 15-minute drive away.

The Marina du Château offers visiting boaters an excellent stopover right in the heart of Brest. It’s ideally located at the foot of the historic Brest Castle and adjacent to the city centre, providing immediate access to restaurants, shops, and cultural sites.
